Day 1 at Disney

Today was the first day of the Grizzlies taking on Disney World. Our journey started bright and early at 6:40 AM. We all met at Indianapolis airport and made our way through to our 8:40 AM flight. The ride was mine and my twin brother Brady's first flight since we could remember. It was a little bit of a bumpy but we got to Orlando safe and sound! Once we made it to Orlando we had to wait in a few long lines so we were able to have some fun playing charades!

At our first meal Professor Fonstad asked if anyone wanted to eat anything of the SECRET menu at one of the possible restaurants called Roxy. I (Bryce Hale) was the lucky one that got to see the secret menu! It had some interesting food and I was eager to try all of it. I decide to try the foot long hot dog with mac and cheese, bacon and more cheese on it (Pictured below). It was quite an experience and I am very grateful that I got to see the secret menu on my first day here at Disney.

 

After the group finished eating we were able to check in to the our hotel rooms at the All Star Movie resort and relax for about an hour. That is when our fun at the parks began! We took a shuttle to the EPCOT park and we had a fast pass the "Soarin" ride. It was a blast, it was a VR plane ride around the world. There were many twist and turns, at one point we were flying right above polar bears and the next looking at the Eiffel tower. It was a great experience and definitely my(Brady) favorite ride of the day. Once we finished up with that we were allowed to explore the park for a few hour then we finished with a fireworks show!

Tomorrow is going to be exciting as well! We start off the day with a fast pass at Magic Kingdom followed by one at Big Thunder Mountain. Then we have a class meeting another, fast pass this one at the haunted mansion and we finish it off with some more fireworks. It is going to be a fun day!
